We had a great time at Durants. The staff were very professional and friendly, everyone without exception. Rooms a bit basic, but have everything you need, just a bit old fashioned. All clean though. The communal areas of the hotel are very pretty, full of character and history. Lots of areas to sit down and enjoy your drink. Location is also great. There is a very good parking very close by.
Unfortunately, the quality of the service is no longer as good as it used to be. It's also a bit disappointing that there is music in the restaurant, especially when it doesn’t really suit the atmosphere. If background music is needed, classical might be a better choice as it would match the setting and is rarely unpleasant for guests. That said, the setting itself remains as refined and elegant as ever.
Our go to hotel in London! It instantly feels like home and the service is second to none. It has a relaxed, family-run charm that gives the hotel character and elegance in abundance. I would 10/10 recommend to anyone wanting a reliable, comfortable and relaxing stay in the city.
Stayed here for the first time for a night on 11th September after a family event and Art opening. A truly delightful place to stay - traditional, clubbable, elegant and also modern in its charming and efficient service. My room was comfortable and quiet and the simplest shower to operate ever. A late night supper was snappily served and breakfast was perfect in quality although the toast could be better. I look forward to returning.
We love Durrants. It’s a country house hotel in the middle of the West End. The rooms can be a little tight but all are beautifully decorated and the beds very comfortable. The recent refurbishment has certainly tidied everything up and enhanced the relaxed, comfortable vibe. It’s a privately owned establishment based in an old Georgian style property so corridors are narrow - but that’s part of the charm. All public areas beautifully decorated with soft furnishings. Bar is lovely - old style panelled room usually with a fire in the corner and leather armchairs and sofas creating a convivial atmosphere. Private rooms are excellent for functions and the staff helpful and accommodating. A real gem.
In a great location within easy walking distance of St Christopher's Place and Harley Street. Easy check in ,attentive staff, late check out of 12pm which was an added bonus.

From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional – Clive the Porter deserves a special mention, nothing was ever too much trouble for him. The bar staff were friendly and attentive, creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere every evening. Breakfast was absolutely amazing, plentiful and delicious, setting us up perfectly for the day ahead. Our room was lovely and comfortable, with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. A wonderfully run hotel where you’re made to feel truly at home – we can’t wait to return!
Service is behind 5 stars. They were absolutely generous and helpful in every way possible. I was embarrassed to an extent of how helpful they were. On the flip side, while the room was very clean and organized it missed a minibar/fridge and the single bed and pillows I had were horriblly not comfortable.
